Regenon (amfepramon hydrochloride) is used in the short term treatment of obesity. This weight loss drug authorised to be taken in the following way: "Patients with adipositas and BMI (body mass index) 30 kg/m2 or more, who have not responded in a satisfactory way to a weight loss programme, may take Regenon as a supplement to dietetic treatment."
